ALGOOD, Life EV Group's LEV Manufacturing division is establishing its first Tennessee footprint in Putnam County, acquiring a 100,000 square-foot facility in Algood to serve as the company's primary U.S. assembly, logistics, and fulfillment center. The $7 million investment will create 288 jobs and position the Upper Cumberland as a hub for light electric vehicle manufacturing and distribution.

LEV Manufacturing, founded in 2018 in Florida, expanded rapidly through acquisitions, including Serial 1 Cycle Company, the premium electric bicycle brand originally developed by Harley-Davidson. This year marks the beginning of Tennessee-based assembly and distribution for Rad Power Bikes, Serial 1 Cycle, and Life EV branded e-bikes through the facility on Burton Branch Road. The company also operates Rad Life Mobility, a sales platform, and is expanding into the e-delivery segment.

The timing of the announcement signals confidence in Tennessee's manufacturing ecosystem at a moment when the broader economy is shifting toward electric mobility. LEV Manufacturing's leadership emphasized that the Algood location will serve as a central hub for a multi-brand platform, and the company plans to partner with Tennessee's research institutions on product innovation, battery technology, advanced manufacturing, and workforce development.

For the Upper Cumberland, which includes Putnam, Overton, Fentress, and Jackson counties, manufacturing investment remains vital. The region has worked to diversify its economy while retaining strong ties to traditional industries. A company like LEV Manufacturing, with ties to leading brands in the electric bike space, represents growth in an emerging sector without abandoning the region's manufacturing legacy.

The facility is expected to be fully operational as the company scales production to meet growing demand for electric bikes and light electric vehicles across North America.
