<p><strong>COLUMBIA —</strong> Columbia State Community College celebrated 41 new emergency medical services graduates during a pinning ceremony in the Cherry Theater, including 13 Emergency Medical Technicians and 28 Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians.</p><p>The Fall 2025 EMT cohort achieved a remarkable 100% first-attempt pass rate on the national registry exam, a benchmark of program excellence. Students completing the accelerated AEMT certificate path also posted a 100% first-attempt pass rate. "The fall 2025 cohort earned every bit of this milestone," said Greg Johnson, EMS Academy program director. "They've trained hard, stayed focused and shown they're ready to serve." The accelerated AEMT program condenses technical training into a single semester, requiring 144 hours of clinical rotations before graduates can serve on pre-hospital EMS teams throughout the region.</p>
