<p>COLUMBIA — Tennesseans who suffered losses during January's severe ice storm have less than a month to apply for federal disaster assistance. According to WPLN Nashville Public Radio, the deadline to file with FEMA is June 10, 2026. So far, the agency has distributed nearly $24 million to more than 10,500 applicants across 29 eligible counties.</p><p>Assistance can cover a range of disaster-related expenses, including temporary lodging, home repairs, medical bills connected to storm injuries, and transportation costs. Maury County residents who have not yet applied and believe they may qualify are urged not to wait. Applications can be filed online at DisasterAssistance.gov, and additional information is available directly from FEMA at fema.gov/disaster/4898.</p>
